Zolita Launches New Era With “Hell’s Belles”

Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and filmmaker Zolita is kicking off a new era with her new single “Hell’s Belles,” and it already signals a clear shift in tone and concept, leaning into country-inspired textures while keeping her signature pop and cinematic style intact.

The track is playful and self-aware, built around contrast and storytelling. Zolita explains: "Written with my friend and artist Gatlin, this is the song that inspired the theme and sound of my next project," adding, "It’s a sapphic take on the ultimate bro country song, 'Boys Round Here' and is an ode to all the southern bad girls I’ve fallen for over the years."

That mix of humour and intent carries through the whole release, positioning “Hell’s Belles” as both a standalone single and a foundation for her next project. It leans into genre blending without fully committing to country, instead using its influence to reshape her pop sound into something more character-driven.

The music video, released alongside the single, pushes that concept further. It follows a detective who goes undercover at a girls’ reform camp turned lesbian cult, eventually falling for its leader. The cast includes Tatiana Ringsby, a long-time collaborator and star of the “Somebody I F*cked Once” trilogy, alongside LGBTQ+ creators Kyra Green, Georgia Bridgers, Becky Missal, Lauren Payton, Alyssa Eels, and Sierra Fujita.

Zolita also ties the visual concept to a personal experience, saying: “The ‘Hell’s Belles’ video was inspired by the six years I spent inside a kundalini yoga cult,” adding that it is “my way of processing the experience through humour, fantasy, and pop spectacle.”
