The beginning reminds us slightly of something - and it's not until Jacob Slater's vocals hit the ear that we realize where have we heard it before. July is the newest track by the UK-born grunge band Wunderhorse, but it's not new, per se. In fact, if you attended their European tour last October, you have probably heard it live before. And we have to say that the recorded version didn't disappoint.

"July", out today 5th of May via Communion Records, follows a slow rhythm that feels almost like an echo as the vocals elongate throughout the song, but it captures the listener from the beginning. It joins now their previous release, "Midas", in which looks like their most promising release to date. Both tracks maintain that momentum they captured with their 2022 album Cub, fresh with whip-smart lyricism and dirty instrumentals that sound delightful.
