Taking over O2 Forum Kentish Town, Waterparks turned their London stop into something between a victory lap and a chaotic teaser trailer for whatever comes next. Waterparks waste absolutely no time throwing the room straight into chaos, opening with the punchy one-two-three of “Blonde”, “SNEAKING OUT OF HEAVEN” and “FUCK ABOUT IT”, and from there, it only gets louder.

Stupid For You” turns the floor into an instant bounce-fest, while “Telephone” — chosen by a lucky fan — gets one of the biggest sing-alongs of the night. The setlist felt fast, a little unpredictable, constantly bouncing between eras. “Dream Boy” lands as one of the more emotional moments, before things dip into softer territory with “High Definition” and a rare outing for “Not Warriors,” which longtime fans clearly weren’t expecting but absolutely lost their minds over anyway.

Things get even looser during the acoustic section, where snippets of “Mad All The Time,” “I’m A Natural Blue,” “Dizzy,” “BRAINWASHED,” and “11:11” among other many made their way into the show.

Then comes the newer material. “IF LYRICS WERE CONFIDENTIAL” oozes confidence, while “PROWLER” sparks the biggest pit of the night, hinting at a heavier edge creeping into whatever’s coming next. “ANY MINUTE NOW” slows things down again, giving the room one of those phone-in-the-air, arms-around-your-mates moments before everything ramps back up.

By the time “TANTRUM,” “REAL SUPER DARK,” and “TURBULENT” hit back-to-back, the crowd’s running purely on adrenaline. Closing with “LIKE IT,” it feels less like an ending and more like everyone trying to squeeze out the last bit of energy before the lights come up.

Somehow, the set manages to cover just about every version of Waterparks — chaotic, emotional, loud, weird — and still leave everyone wanting more. If this is the bridge between eras, it’s a pretty exciting place to be.
