The English quintet Trash Boat have just dropped their new single titled "Be Someone" featuring I Prevail's Eric Vanlerberghe. This release comes after their recent tracks ‘Liar Liar’ and ‘Break You", which makes clear the band is gearing up for the release of their next album, "Heaven Can Wait", set to drop on October 4th via Hopeless Records.
This is a big change from their 2021 album, "Don’t You Feel Amazing?", and we now see the band find their sweet spot inside the hardcore scene, solidifying themselves as one of the top bands to watch at the moment. With "Be Someone", their lyricism speaks to a deep internal conflict while the breakdown builds tension. Instrumentally, the pounding drums and a visceral vocal delivery match the intensity of the lyrics, creating a cathartic result.
The video, Directed by Zak Pinchin, is out now.
