Chicago indie rock band The Braymores have shared their latest single, Thought Control, offering another preview of their upcoming album When The Lights Went Out.

The new track focuses on the emotions that follow a breakup, balancing the reasons a relationship ended with the memories that make it difficult to let go. Musically, it continues the direction the band have been building towards on the new record.

Thought Control blends feel-good indie rock with lyrics about looking back on a relationship. Its biggest strength is an instantly catchy chorus that gives the track an effortless, summery energy.

Formed in 2022, The Braymores have quickly built a name for themselves through constant touring and energetic live shows. Their 2026 schedule includes more than 40 dates, including a hometown appearance at Lollapalooza Chicago, where they'll perform on the BMI Stage on July 30.
