Seattle’s genre-defiant quartet The Home Team is kicking off a new chapter! On May 16, the band drops their infectious new single “Worthy”, a track equal parts explosive energy and emotional vulnerability. Released via Thriller Records, the single arrives alongside a vivid music video and the announcement of the Deluxe Edition of The Crucible of Life, set to land on all streaming platforms June 13.

“‘Worthy’ is a song that was written during the same time as the rest of The Crucible of Life,” vocalist Brian Butcher shares. “But it just didn’t get finished until after the album was released. This song belongs in the Crucible of Life cycle, but it also indicates a look forward for us in terms of what comes next creatively.”

That forward momentum is tangible in every second of the track. From its punchy, precision-engineered drum work to the neon-lit guitar riffs that spiral and shimmer, “Worthy” practically demands to be played at full volume, and it's perfect for this upcoming summer.

Visually, the accompanying music video leans hard into what by now we recognise as the band’s signature style, aka high-energy, high-saturation, and very playful. It’s a perfect pairing for a song that feels tailor-made for a summer of chaos (and it's not like we're manifesting one).

The release also marks the launch of pre-orders for The Crucible of Life (Deluxe Edition), an expanded version of their acclaimed 2023 album. With new tracks and potential surprises in store, the deluxe edition promises to deliver even more of the emotional weight, sonic experimentation, and razor-sharp hooks.
