The Bobby Lees have released their latest single, “Red Hot,” ahead of the arrival of their new album New Self, due out on June 12 via Epitaph.

"Red Hot” explores addiction, desire and the feeling of constantly wanting more. Vocalist Sam Quartin explained, “This song is about wanting more. More love. More connection. More attention. That insatiable desire. Yet somehow, when we recorded this track, we were all hysterically laughing by the end of it. So, whatever that means.”

The track arrives as the Woodstock, New York trio prepare to release New Self, their first album following a difficult period that included a hiatus in 2023. The band recently discussed that time in the premiere episode of Jason Momoa’s HBO series On The Roam, where they spoke about the economic pressures that affected the group despite extensive touring, writing and recording.

Consisting of Sam Quartin, Macky Bowman and Kendall Wind, The Bobby Lees use New Self to address topics including addiction, personal struggles and everyday frustrations.
