New York-based band Shower Curtain, fronted by Brazilian-American artist Victoria Winter, has dropped their latest single, “you’re like me,” ahead of their upcoming debut album words from a wishing well, out October 18 via Angel Tapes/Fire Talk Records. The emotionally charged track features reverberating guitars and introspective lyrics, exploring how people who hurt us often share qualities we recognize in ourselves. Production-wise, Winter drew inspiration from 90s guitars and Y2K drum machine sounds that are resurfacing in modern indie music.

The accompanying music video, directed by NYC duo Sex Week, captures a distant relationship with subtle emotional tension, visually mirroring the song's themes.

Shower Curtain’s debut album follows a series of singles, including the insomnia-driven "benadryl man" and "wish u well," showcasing the band's transition from bedroom pop to sludgy rock. After a two-year hiatus, Shower Curtain has firmly established itself in Brooklyn’s shoegaze and slowcore scene.

The band is set to embark on their first headlining North American tour later this month, with stops along the East Coast, South, and Midwest, culminating in an album release show in New York City.
