The Australian Radio Free Alice are back with their latest single, “Kick in the Shins,” released along with an official visualizer filmed in Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, northern France.
Speaking about the song, frontman Noah Learmonth said, “‘Kick in the Shins’ is a fusion of two songs that never felt all the way complete. We loved the verse of one of them and the chorus of the other, and it worked when we combined the two.”
He added, “We wanted to create a song you could jump around to. At its core, it explores the feeling of being confused by the culture around you, and the isolation that often comes with that confusion.”
The release comes during a busy festival season for the band. Radio Free Alice recently performed at Rock Werchter and Bilbao, earning recognition from NME as one of the weekend’s standout acts. They are also set to appear at Tramlines Festival, Reading Festival, Way Out West Festival, and Riot Fest in Chicago later this year.
