Australian new wave and post-punk band Radio Free Alice have officially announced their debut album, What’s In Between, set for release on October 30, 2026 through Atlantic Records. The announcement comes with a brand new single, “Crying With You,” and an official video.
Lead singer Noah Learmonth explained how “Crying With You” came together during a writing trip in California. “We wrote ‘Crying With You’ whilst on a writing retreat in Joshua Tree in California. We were staying at this beautiful property owned by producer Nicolas Vernhes, surrounded by desert and Joshua trees for about a week and recorded a handful of demos and jams. The verse and chorus were originally different songs, but we stitched them together, which is something we like to do quite a lot”
Learmonth also spoke about the feeling of finally being able to share the album after living with its songs for so long. “It’s a huge relief to finally announce the album. We’ve lived with these songs for such a long time and they’ve become such a big part of our lives, so knowing there’s now a date when they’ll finally exist outside of us feels incredibly cathartic,”
The band have also had a very busy 2026 so far. They made their debut on Atlantic Records with “Lunch Money” and performed at Governors Ball in New York, followed by a sold-out after-show at Baby’s All Right. Radio Free Alice are set to play Reading Festival this weekend and will head back to the US for Riot Fest in Chicago on September 18 and Austin City Limits on October 9. They have also announced an extensive UK and European tour.
