Minneapolis band Porch Light are getting ready for a big next step. After playing at festivals like Lollapalooza and Hinterland this summer, the band have announced their debut album, Hush, which will be out September 18, 2026 via Mom + Pop.
The 11-track album was recorded at Pachyderm Studios with producer Caleb Wright, who has also worked with artists including Samia and Hippo Campus. The album was made after the band spent the last two years touring behind their debut EPs, giving them plenty of time to develop their sound and chemistry as a live band.
Hush will include a mix of riff-heavy rock songs and more stripped-back tracks, with vocalist Jackie Uhas bringing her powerful and unfiltered vocals throughout the record. The band explained what the album means to them, saying, “To us as a band, ‘Hush’ is a symbol of our growth as musicians and as people. It includes themes that deal with loss, growth, recovery, and progression. This collection of songs marks an important point in our lives where we come to terms with where we’ve been and where we’re going in the future.”
Earlier this summer, Porch Light released their first new music of 2026 with the songs “Arctic” and “Under.” “Arctic” looks at the tension between commitment and longing, while “Under” brings heavier riffs and a more intense vocal performance from Uhas.
The band will begin their first North American headlining tour on September 22 in Dallas, just days after Hush is released. The tour will include stops in cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
