Renowned heavy band Polar has just released their gripping new single, "Paranoia," featuring the fierce vocals of Rachel Aspe from Cage Fight. This track marks a significant moment as it precedes the pre-order for their upcoming album, Five Arrows, scheduled to hit shelves on November 22nd via Arising Empire.
Following the high-octane anthems "We Won't Sleep" and "Swimming with Sharks," Polar continues to capture the intensity and raw emotion their fans have come to expect. "Paranoia" delves deep into themes of psychological struggle and inner turmoil, offering a powerful reflection of the band's recent journey.
Vocalist Adam Woodford, who has navigated the band's transition through significant lineup changes, shared his personal connection to the track: “When going through the lowest points in the past few years, there have been periods where I have heavily battled this feeling, weighing heavily in my mind and putting immense pressure on my mental health. Putting the feeling into song/words has been a therapy to me, and we are incredibly honoured to have Rachel Aspe guesting on the track. Rachel brings a whole new level of aggression that really brings to life the concept of my mind battling against the crushing feeling of Paranoia.”
The release of "Paranoia" follows a period of transformation for Polar. In 2023, the departure of several original members led to a revitalization of the band. Woodford's vision brought in new members—Stefan Whiting (bass), Bruno Consani (guitar), Simon Richardson (guitar), and Max Flohr (drums)—injecting fresh energy into the band. This revamped lineup has not only invigorated Polar’s sound but has also intensified the emotional impact of their music.
The upcoming album, Five Arrows, promises to deliver an even more profound experience. The track listing includes:
We Won't Sleep
Unkillable
A New Mentality
House of Cards
Dawn of a New Age
All Hail the Tyrant
Swimming with Sharks
