UK band PAVÉ are stepping into 2026 with growing confidence and a clear sense that they’re only just getting started, and their new single, “If It Hurts”, shows just that.

Recorded at Adidas Originals x Abbey Road Studios at Co-op Live (casual), the track leans into something softer. Don’t worry though, this isn’t PAVÉ losing their bite. The band’s trademark explosive choruses are still very much intact in this song, but this time they’re wrapped in something more atmospheric, more pop-leaning.

On the surface, “If It Hurts” plays like a love song. Underneath, it’s something far more complicated. “It presents like a love song, but it’s really about what happens when love or ambition becomes conditional,” explains Alanya. “Reshaping yourself to be enough for someone who’s always asking for more. It’s about devotion turning into self-erasure, and the fear of disappearing unless you’re constantly proving your worth.”

The accompanying video is out now, leaning into the track’s quieter tension and giving “If It Hurts” an equally thoughtful visual counterpart.

The track feels like a natural progression for PAVÉ, proving the band is more and more comfortable exploring space and subtlety without losing their punch.
