Los Angeles-based pop singer and songwriter Paulina has unveiled her highly anticipated new EP, everything’s still, a poignant exploration of the emotional turbulence following a breakup. This new collection, featuring three evocative tracks—“stranger,” “funny (interlude),” and “a song I wrote”—offers an intimate glimpse into Paulina’s heartache and healing journey.
The EP's title, everything’s still, draws inspiration from the closing line of Noah Kahan’s song “The View Between Villages.” “The title of my EP, ‘everything’s still,’ was inspired by one of my favorite Noah Kahan songs,” Paulina reveals. “The closing line of the song, ‘and everything’s still,’ really resonated with me. It feels so uplifting, like it’s the moment you can finally breathe again. That’s how making this EP made me feel; I wanted to embody that feeling.”

The EP opens with “stranger,” a track that delves into the deep sorrow of realizing that someone you once knew intimately has now become a distant stranger. This dark, sultry single sets the tone for the EP, reflecting the raw intensity of initial heartbreak.
Next comes “funny (interlude),” a brief yet powerful exploration of the emotional rollercoaster that follows a breakup. Paulina’s reflective lyrics capture the chaos and confusion of trying to make sense of lost love, offering a poignant narrative of personal growth and acceptance.
The final track, “a song I wrote,” marks a bittersweet resolution to the breakup story. “The final song on the EP is about questioning whether or not the person still thinks about you,” Paulina explains. “And it's the realization that even if they don't admit it, you know there will always be things that remind them of you — like the song you wrote that you know they’ll be listening to. It’s a sassy, mic drop conclusion to the breakup story.”
