With their explosive debut single “Let You Go” (released January 16th), Offspec introduces themselves with a sound that’s equal parts glossy pop hooks, glitchy electronics, and bone-crushing riffs. The metal-pop quartet are arriving fully formed and impossible to ignore.

Offspec is made up of Luisa Lyons (vocals), Eric Barrera (drums), Devyn Byrd (bass), and Micheal Luce (guitar)—four musicians bringing distinct styles, influences, and backgrounds into one volatile, exciting mix. Drawing from Lyons’s Brazilian roots and Barrera’s Peruvian heritage, the band weaves their cultural experiences into music far beyond borders, speaking to a global audience.

At the center of Offspec’s debut is “Let You Go.” Driven by Lyons’s haunting clean vocals and growls, the song explores the emotional aftermath of losing someone you thought would always be there. Despite the heartache embedded in the lyrics, the song is about honouring the pain without letting it trap you, about finding the strength to move on even when it feels impossible.

Luisa explains it best: “For myself, ‘Let You Go’ is about the grieving process from losing important people in my life. For others, I hope that when people listen to this song, they find their own meaning and interpretation, but most of all strength—you’re not alone, even if you have to let them go.”
