On January 29th, pop-punk powerhouse Neck Deep took to the stage, returning to the iconic Rock City in Nottingham for a sold-out show on their ongoing Dumbstruck DumbFck* album tour.

The five-piece band has built an immense, loyal following over the years, and their fans came ready to deliver. Even with an earlier show, the venue was packed to the brim, every inch of space filled with energy and anticipation. As The Wonder Years and One Step Closer hit the stage, they cranked up the excitement, setting the crowd on fire and priming them for an unforgettable night… and what a night it was.

Right off the bat, the band erupted on stage with the album’s title track, and instantly, the air was alive. Neck Deep is known for their lively, high-energy performances and highly interactive experiences with the crowd. With the set drop, pyrotechnics, lighting, and confetti bursts, this show was a step up even for them. The setlist was a balanced blend of the new, the old, and the unexpected—Nottingham was lucky enough to have Can’t Kick Off the Roots back on the setlist after it had been removed from some of the previous dates. It was a true showcase of not only the band's range and talent but also a love letter to both old and new fans.

This feeling of connection and togetherness stood out throughout the entire show. It was clear that the room was packed with fans who had been on this journey with the band for different lengths of time, yet there was an overwhelming sense of community. When it came time for frontman Ben Barlow’s speeches and crowd interactions, it was impossible not to feel the emotion and love behind his words.

The crowd’s enthusiasm seemed to fuel the band’s performance, creating an infectious atmosphere that’s hard to match. They matched every drop of energy the band threw out—much to security’s dismay, as they were truly put to work with the constant stream of crowd surfers flying over the barriers. Ben kept demanding more and more. A highlight of the entire night came during She’s A God, when Ben encouraged the crowd to open a female-only pit, giving the women in the audience a space to get fully immersed in the music.

In conclusion, the Nottingham tour date was an absolute showcase of talent and a true love letter to modern-day pop-punk. Whether in a small, intimate venue or a massive arena, Neck Deep knows how to turn every show into an unforgettable experience, leaving fans with memories that will last long after the final chord fades.
