Nashville-based indie alt-pop group Moody Joody have unveiled the St. Lucia remix of their latest single, "Velvet Connection." This reimagined track, released today, adds a twist to the band's shimmering crush anthem and marks their first offering of 2024. In conjunction with the remix release, Moody Joody is celebrating another major milestone: their official signing with Photo Finish Records.

Moody Joody will be joining the alt-pop/rock band MisterWives on select dates of their "MisterWives: Just For One Night!" tour this fall. This tour promises to be an exciting opportunity for fans to experience Moody Joody's vibrant live performances and witness their growth

"Velvet Connection," co-written by Scott Harris, captures the thrilling and forbidden excitement of a summer crush, wrapped in smooth, synth-driven melodies. The remix by St. Lucia elevates this energy, transforming it into a track that’s sure to light up dance floors. Producer Andrew Pacheco, who is one-third of the Moody Joody trio alongside vocalists Kayla Hall and Kaitie Forbes, has long admired St. Lucia, making this collaboration a full-circle moment for the band.

"St. Lucia’s records had a massive influence on me sonically around the time I first started producing. To have Jean, whose sound is a facet of my musical DNA, hop on our song and do a remix is absolutely wild to me and such an honour," he said.

Moody Joody has been steadily building their sonic universe since their debut single "The Heat" in 2020. Their music, characterized by its rich emotional depth and vibrant production, explores the complexities of the human experience. The trio’s ability to craft songs that resonate on multiple levels has earned them a growing fan base, and their recent projects, including their contribution to MisterWives' deluxe album "Nosebleeds: Encore," have further solidified their place in the indie alt-pop scene.

With their new label partnership, upcoming tour dates, and continued creative exploration, the band is poised for a breakout year.
