NY singer-songwriter Jenna Nicholls is back with a tender new single, “Tie A String,” out now and produced by 3x GRAMMY winner Larry Campbell (Levon Helm, Bob Dylan). The track previews her upcoming fourth studio album, The Commuter, arriving October 10 via Royal Potato Family.
The inspiration behind the song is delightfully personal. “One day I was searching for gray hair in the mirror and I asked my husband to help me get the ones in the back, thinking he would say ‘I don’t see any’ and walk away. He didn’t and proceeded to pull quite a bit of my hair. I got a little irritated and he said, ‘Honey, you’re as pretty as the day I met you.’ That inspired this song,” Jenna shares.
With “Tie A String,” Nicholls turns a quiet, intimate moment into a heartfelt, melodic reflection on love, aging, and the small gestures that mean the most.
