I Prevail Go Full Force with Fifth Album ‘Violent Nature’ and Explosive New Video “Pray”

Buckle up, folks: Michigan rock heroes I Prevail are back with their highly anticipated fifth full-length record, Violent Nature, via Fearless Records, and yes, it comes with all the angst, melody, and face-melting riffs we've all been waiting for.

Leading the charge is the emotionally charged video for the focus track, “Pray.” Opening with deceptively tender acoustic instrumentation, the song lures you in before exploding into a cathartic storm of soaring choruses and punishing bridges. Frontman Eric Vanlerberghe says it best: “‘Pray’ is one of my favorite songs on this record. It’s about the moment when someone close to you burns you, and then has the nerve to feel sorry for you. This song is about letting go of that pity, realizing you are better off without them.”

The album sees Vanlerberghe flexing both clean and unclean vocals like a pro, proving that this band is evolving, shedding old skin, and emerging fully transformed. The record also includes previous singles like the cathartic “Annihilate Me”, the vulnerable “Rain”, the steadfast anthem “Into Hell”, and their heaviest cut yet, “Violent Nature.”

Vanlerberghe adds: “‘Violent Nature’ is our favorite album to date. We wanted to create something authentic that could only come from the members in the band as a collective. There were no outside producers or writers involved. Just us five sitting in a room together. Heavy parts getting heavier and melodic parts getting catchier. We can’t wait to share what we’ve created with the world. We absolutely love it and we hope that you do as well.”
