Fontaines D.C. played La Ciudadela de Pamplona on Thursday, August 13, in front of an enthusiastic crowd that had been waiting for the band’s return to the live stage.
The band opened with “Boys in the Better Land” and moved through a set covering all four albums, including “Jackie Down the Line”, “Roman Holiday”, “Nabokov”, “Big” and “Hurricane Laughter”. “Marianne”, one of the new songs, also made its live debut in Pamplona.
The band kept the focus on the music, with little interaction between songs. The performance built steadily, and the crowd remained fully involved throughout the set despite the high temperatures.
