After opening for a leg of Vision Video’s recent tour, Atlanta-based alternative pop band Forrest Isn’t Dead unveils their new single, "Flowers Of My Life." The track has already captured the hearts of fans, who have been eagerly awaiting its release after getting a taste during live shows. Those who attended the Newark, New Jersey performance were hooked from the first note, as the band’s infectious energy had the entire venue on their feet, chanting back the chorus word for word by the song's end.

The song’s deeply personal inspiration comes from the band's vocalist, who was moved to write "Flowers Of My Life" following the passing of his grandfather. In an Instagram post announcing the single's debut, he shared, “I was going through the stuff in his basement and found a photo album titled ‘Flowers of My Life’… it was pictures of my mother and grandmother.”

This heartfelt experience is woven throughout the track’s lyrics, which explore the pain of loss and the complex emotions that come with it. Despite its sombre origins, the song delivers a contrastingly upbeat vibe, with vibrant vocals, lively drums, and guitar riffs reminiscent of the 2010s pop-punk craze. The emotional depth of the lyrics, combined with its energetic sound, makes "Flowers Of My Life" a standout.

Although this new single marks a stylistic shift from their first album, Forrest Isn’t Dead demonstrates their versatility, proving that their artistry isn’t confined to one genre. The band is currently recording their sophomore album, which will feature "Flowers Of My Life," and fans can look forward to more new music throughout the year.
