Los Angeles artist Forest has announced her debut album, Swan Dive, set for release on September 25 via AWAL. Alongside the announcement, she has shared the album's latest single, "Anchor," offering another preview of the ten-track record.

"Anchor" explores the impact of difficult memories. The song reflects on feeling unable to move beyond the past while searching for stability, and as Forest puts it: "delves into the idea of becoming wrapped up in something you can't get out of," Forest said. "It was written in my childhood bedroom on a trip to Chicago, at a time when I had felt the past wrap its arms around me. The thought of being stuck and tied to the past was the driving thought throughout this track."

Swan Dive expands on the alternative rock sound of Forest's earlier releases by incorporating electronic elements and melodic pop moments. Across its ten tracks, the album moves between intimate songwriting and heavier, guitar-driven arrangements.

The announcement follows a string of recent singles, including "Lay With Me," "Whore and Savior," and "Prosthetic Stars," each showcasing a different side of the upcoming record while building anticipation for Forest's debut full-length release.
