Singer-songwriter Esha Tewari has captivated the hearts of many with her introspective lyrics and soothing vocals. This rising star, originally from Australia, is known for her indie-folk sound, and her fourth single, “Million Times,” out now via Warner Music Australia, explores a new side to her music
A rising star originally from Australia, Tewari built a supportive fanbase by posting both covers and original songs on social media. While she started as an independent artist, as of January this year, she officially signed with Warner Music Australia.
Last Thursday, she released “million times”. This marks the fourth single ahead of her third EP, “wraith”, following “empty pages”, “things i want”, and “you were mine”. Though Tewari is usually known for her acoustic sound, she explores a different side to her music in this new track, which is influenced by indie rock.
The song narrates the artist’s conflicting feelings toward a relationship. While she has grown used to her significant other, she can’t help but wonder if this is the right person for her. The lyrics are honest and vulnerable, posing existential questions such as “Will this be my life / Choosing another until I die?”. After taking us on a journey, the song concludes with the repetition “A million times”, showcasing the redundant nature of her thoughts and situation.
Her EP “wraith” is to be released on May 1st. Furthermore, Australian and North American fans (or “Tewarians”, as the artist crowned them) can look forward to singing along to her songs, as she is embarking on an Australian return tour this spring, followed by a North American tour in July.
