The Liverpool-born band Courting brought an outstanding performance to the Maravillas Club, Madrid, last Tuesday, presenting their second album for the first time in the Spanish capital.

Their sound can be described as a mix of electronic rock, indie, hyperpop and post-punk, a combination that had the audience dancing the entire night. The quartet, composed by Connor McCann, Sean Murphy O’Neill, Sean Thomas, and Josh Cope, had prepared a zesty setlist that didn't fail to make the crowd jump especially for the openers "Battle" or “Grand National”. These were followed by some of their best hits such as “Flex”, “Popshop!” and “Famous”.

Perhaps the surprise of the night were the powerful solos of drummer Sean Thomas, who excelled almost effortlesly. Frontman Sean Murphy interacted with the fans, cracked a few jokes and made the audience go wild in a small push pit.

An encore followed, highly requested by the crowd, before the band put the cherry on top with the hit "Flex".
