Catch Your Breath, the rising four-piece rock outfit, has delivered yet another powerful blow with their latest single, "Ghost Inside The Shell," out now via Thriller Records. Hot on the heels of their recent hit "Perfect World" featuring the versatile Ryan Oakes, this new track dives deep into the darker recesses of human emotion, making it clear that the band isn't afraid to explore the tough stuff.
"Ghost Inside The Shell" surprises with its raw intensity, perfectly encapsulating the overwhelming feelings that come with a sense of being lost, of teetering on the edge and questioning where it all went wrong.
“Ghost Inside The Shell is a song about life’s struggles catching up to you” says vocalist Mowery. “ You aren’t sure where things went wrong or why they never seem to work out, but you are at the end of your rope and need an escape.”
The track's hard-hitting instrumentation is perfectly balanced with a hooky intro that quickly blends into a bang of heavy guitars. The result proves that Catch Your Breath doesn't fear pushing their sound forward while staying true to their roots, and that's perhaps the reason why listening to "Ghost Inside The Shell" feels like finding a gemstone buried in the rough—unexpected yet dazzling at the same time.
“We keep finding new sounds and new versions of Catch Your Breath as we have gotten better and better as a band,” adds Herrera. “The progression of our sound is testament to how much we’ve come to figure out who and what we are.”
The release of this single also heralds the forthcoming deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed album Shame On Me and a European tour in 2025.
