Hard rock band Catch Your Breath lean into a darker, more defiant energy with their latest single “Blood Money,” out now via Thriller Records.
At its core, “Blood Money” taps into a very specific kind of frustration: the moment you realise someone’s been benefiting from your struggle, and you’re just… done, and you finally stop explaining yourself and start reclaiming what’s yours.
Vocalist Josh Mowery frames it plainly: "You can’t take what was never yours. 'Blood Money' is for anyone who’s been pushed to the edge by the people who tried to own them. We’re done staying quiet while you profit off our pain. See you at the throne."
There’s something especially compelling about how the band balance that emotional weight with a polished, hard-hitting sound in a way that feels deeply intentional, like they know exactly what they want to say and aren’t too interested in softening it. The accompanying music video leans into that same sense of tension and release, matching the track’s confrontational tone.
If anything, “Blood Money” is the perfect continuation for Catch Your Breath, and it feels like a step into something sharper, more self-assured, and maybe a little bit unforgiving (as it should be).
