Nashville’s rising alt-pop artist BIZZY is back with her powerful new single, “Default Setting,” an angst-filled track that dives deep into the emotional struggle of moving on from a past love. With an honest portrayal of trying to break free from the familiar, "Default Setting" takes listeners through the intimate details of BIZZY's past romance as she battles between embracing new opportunities for love and being haunted by the persistent pull of an old flame.
The track, characterized by soft guitar strums that build into a commanding beat, vividly captures the frustration, confusion, and self-reflection of being stuck on a "default setting" in one's love life. “You have to ride the wave and let yourself go through it, embracing vulnerability along the way,” BIZZY explains. "'Default Setting' captures that emotional journey of trying to move on from a past love you can’t seem to shake."
Accompanied by a striking music video directed by Griffin Olis, BIZZY finds herself trapped in a stark white room filled with retro TVs, each set to their default screen. As the TVs flicker with fragmented memories of a past relationship, BIZZY delivers an electrifying performance, reflecting the internal turmoil of letting go.
"Default Setting" follows BIZZY’s previous single "When It Ends," and builds on the momentum of her acclaimed debut EP I Don’t Get Breakups, which was featured on SiriusXM Hits 1’s Hitbound and praised by outlets like Ones To Watch for her “teeth-clutching realism with melodic pop bouquets.”
